i have a hard time finishing series.
attatchment issues i suppose, just never wanting it to end.
it took me forever to finish the last Harry Potter because i knew what my life would be like once it was over.
i read all the Twilights except breaking dawn. so thanks to the preview i know bella becomes a vamp.
same sitch with the hunger games. i read book 1 in two days and book 2 in one day.... LAST YEAR.
and ive refused to read the third.
until now.
i have caved, due to the HUNGER GAME trailer coming out, i just cannot watch the movie til i finish the third! not like that's much of a challenge, anyone who reads these books knows it only takes hours to read.
other news of my day:
today was probably my favorite day of school since i started!
we talked about the Christmas program all day and the students were sitting on the edge of the chairs, participating, singing loudly, behaving, and even my "tough cookie" students were sprouting little angelic wings today. one said, "ms. brassell, didn't i do so much better today. wasn't i just on my best behavior?" i just gave him my biggest smile.
they are all bringing me Christmas CD's to help me putting the soundtrack together and sending me encouraging emails and letters. they are the best little helpers! today when we were practicing the Josh Groban, "Believe" song, i just couldn't help but smile the entire time, each class. the kids were trying so hard to sound so good and stay on key. it's such a powerful song when josh groban sings it, but get kids singing it with their young voices and it brings a whole different power into the room. my third graders were belting out the chorus and i just started tearing up in the middle of conducting. i didn't want them to notice so i went over and shuffled some items on my desk telling them to "great job, keep it up!" ha. heaven knows i'll be tearing apart that tissue box come performance time.
i got a flat tire on my way home from work. and my sweet daddio came to the rescue. helped me and got me all situated to be back on them roads. i love my dad! always, always, always looking out with his little girl.
and now i think i'll have some hot chocolate for this great day.

I read the first two of the Hunger Games and never finished. I guess I really should huh?!
