college grad[two]ation

for those of you that don't know why i graduated twice, let me share (:

i graduated summer 2010 in elementary education and then did my student teaching in north salt lake, UT. after student teaching BYUI and my faculty at foxboro elm stressed the importance of getting TESOL (teaching english to students of other languages) certified.
eventually, it would be required to have in order to find a job. in many places it is required to teach. so even though i had already "walked" i postponed my graduation (where i would get my certificate) and enrolled back into BYUI to minor in TESOL education. elementary education majors can't have a minor, but they will be changing the program soon enough, because of cases such as mine.
so i returned back to my favorite land of rexburg. 21 credits later and 2 semesters later, i grabbed my already worn cap and gown and decided why not walk again! this time my name would officially be in the program (2010 it wasn't because i hadn't done my student teaching yet) and in a sense was my 'real' graduation.

which year was better?? i don't even know! they were both great! last year i cried a lot because i thought it was all over. my great-grandad flew out from ft. walton beach florida to attend, what an honor!
but this year baby johnny was born and got to attend. as well as jordan being home from his mission. as well as my sister who was in virginia last year. making the whole family there!
i loved them both! as much as i love rexburg more than anyone i know, i'm more ready to leave this time. ready for new changes and new experiences! (:

  1. I love all of the pictures! How do you do them with such cute borders and text on them? It's so cute how you had the flashbacks side by side.
